Published by

Political associates and well-meaning Nigerians on Friday morning converged on the Abeokuta home of two -time governor of Ogun State, Chief Olusegun Osoba, as he clocked 77 years.

An interdenominational service was conducted in his honour and the ceremony was well-attended by politicians from different political parties and followers of the celebrant from the 20 local government areas  of the state.

Although, the celebrant, Saturday Tribune gathered, is currently outside the country, the attendance at the ceremony was massive.

No member of Osoba’s family was present as religious leaders from the Christian, Islamic and traditional circles offered prayers for him.

Eulogising the celebrant, former chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Chief Olu Agemo, described Osoba as an astute grass-roots politician and a leader par excellence.

He said the celebrant was not a corrupt politician unlike many politicians in the country.
