Mr Azeez Lamina Oshoala, brother to Super Falcons striker and six-time African Footballer of the Year, Asisat Oshoala, has declared his intention to vie for the chairmanship of Ikorodu Local Government, Lagos State, during the forthcoming local government election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress.

A media entrepreneur, Mr Oshoala in a statement, on Saturday said that youths are globally favoured in leadership positions because of their abiding strength, vigour, resourcefulness and dynamism.

Speaking during the declaration held at his Ikorodu campaign office, he said “I have consulted my leaders and other stakeholders widely on the need to be supported to emerge as the next Ikorodu Local Government chairman.

“This move is to help harness and unleash all the potentials for greatness and transformation of our local government. This is an offer to serve my people; it is therefore not a do-or-die ambition and it is not a raw lust for power or monetary gain.”

Oshoala promised to embark on life-transforming programmes and developments beneficial to all residents and indigenes of the local government.
