Janet, who also watched on the same day was more thrilled about the humour in the ‘Divorce Not Allowed’. For her, “the efo riro and bokoto” part, as well as “Angela Okorie’s portrayal of the typical Igbo housewife role made the movie very enjoyable for her.
‘Divorce not Allowed’ also showed in KADA Cinemas, Benin and it had students from five different institutions within and outside Benin, as well as movie goers in the state, trooping to see the movie.
A theatre arts student of Uniben, Kingsley, who saw the movie praised Mike Ezuruonye’s vision as a director.
“What I saw was vintage acting and directing” he quipped.
In response to all of these, Mike Ezuruonye who directed and acted in the movie had this to say.
“The fans have spoken, and we have to listen. If they say the movie is good, then it is really good. And I want everyone to go the cinema and see it”.
‘Divorce Not Allowed’ continues to show in Nigeria cinemas across Lagos, Benin, Owerri, and other states. It is also set to show in other countries like Ghana, UK and US.
