Arsenal increases the chances of returning to the UEFA Champions League next season

Published by

Arsenal has become one of the favourites to finish 4th in EPL season 21/22.  Past weekend, Mikel Arteta’s boys gained a tough home victory over Brantford (2:1) and extended the no-defeat to three matches.

What’s more important, the Gunners made another step to finishing fourth or higher in the EPL and returning to Champions League. Arsenal gained 42 points after beating Brantford, which allows Londoners to capture 6th place, according to Betonmobile. Therefore, Arsenal played in only 23 matches, when their nearest rivals in the table, West Ham (42 points) and Manchester United (46 points) have already played in 26 matches. That means that Arsenal has truly become one of the main favourites to finish in the UCL zone.

Analysts in the betting business agree with this assessment. For example, by downloading the bet365 app for iPhone https://betonmobile.ru/prilozhenie-bet365, you can find a special line for the results of the current Premier League season in its convenient menu, and according to quotes from English football experts, Arsenal’s chances of taking one of the four highest positions in the championship are now equal to 45 percent of the probability. This is one of the top five highest figures for any player in a Premier League season and has been increasing for Arsenal since the beginning of the calendar year (previously only 30 percent).

Arsenal hasn’t been able to qualify for Champions League for five years straight, 16/17 season was the last time Gunners participated in the main club tournament in Europe. In the 2016/2017 campaign, the club was still under Arsene Wenger’s management, and none of his successors has been able to finish in top-4.

After Mr Wenger was sacked, Arsenal has been taken over by three coaches: swede Freddy Ljungberg as interim coach and Spaniards Unai Emery and Mikel Arteta. Particularly Arteta may be the one to return Arsenal to Champions League.
