This information contained on the Army’s Twitter handle @HQNigerianArmy, said the armed robbers who blocked the highway during their operation, were arrested with dane guns, machetes and different kinds of charms.
While assuring of prompt response of security agencies to distress calls, the Nigerian Army said it had handed over the four suspects to the Nigerian Police for further investigation and prosecution.

The tweet read, “In continuation of Chief of Army Staff operational visit to troops on various states, on Saturday 5 May 2018, at about 2330hrs- 1200hrs (11:30 pm – 12:00 am) four local armed robbers were intercepted by the Chief of Army Staff convoy along Numan – Yola Road.
“The suspects had since handed over to the Nigerian Police Force for further investigation and prosecution. The general public is hereby advised to always give useful and timely information to the security agency for prompt response.”
