Army assures adequate support to NYSC in Anambra

The Commander, 302 Artillery regiment and General support, Nigeria Army Onitsha, has assured the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Coordinator in Anambra State, Mrs Yetunde Baderunwa, of adequate support to enable her to achieve her mandate.

According to the commander, the two formations had remained close partners in service to the nation.

He said that Army would continue to support the NYSC scheme with manpower needs within the limits of their constraints.

Usman said that NYSC Anambra State remained a familiar terrain to him as he had served twice as Camp Commandant in the then NYSC orientation camp at Umunya.

He charged the state coordinator to always avail the command with timely information on security needs when necessary for prompt response.

Earlier the coordinator NYSC had expressed appreciation to the command for the continued support, especially during orientation course programmes and appealed for sustenance.

She requested the command’s support especially during the orientation course as well as in the security of corps members in the state.
