Area Boys hide stolen millions in private parts

Published by

Two social miscreants have been arrested by the operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RSS) for allegedly stealing about N1.48 million naira abandoned loot.

The social miscreants stuffed the money which was reportedly abandoned by some armed robbers, in their private parts.

The suspects, Adegoke and Ganiyu (surnames withheld), were arrested last Thursday evening when they were caught tucking the cash in their private parts.

The suspects, among other miscreants, had pretended they were helping the police in chasing three armed robbers who snatched about N3 million from a yet to be identified bank customer in Oshodi.

It was gathered that the armed robbers, in a bid to escape from policemen who were chasing them, abandoned the money.

The three-man robbery gang that snatched the money from the owner reportedly operated on a motorcycle.

They were said to have snatched a bag containing about N3 million from the bank customer.

The suspects as well as the recovered loot had been transferred to Makinde Police Station in Oshodi.

Also recovered along with the loot were three cheque booklets of two new generation banks, several signed cheques and counter-signed cheque leaves.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Dolapo Badmos, a Superintendent of Police,  confirmed the arrest of the suspects to Metro, adding that efforts were on to arrest the fleeing robbers.
