…appoints Thierry Ravoaja as Chief Underwriting Officer, Treaty, Retrocession

CONTINENTAL Reinsurance has announced the appointment of Thierry Ravoaja as Chief Underwriting Officer, Treaty and Retrocession.

In a statement, the Group Managing Director of Continental Reinsurance, Lawrence Nazare, said Thierry brings a wealth of experience, holding a Bachelor of Assurance degree from Ecole Supérieure d’Assurances, Paris, France (2001) and a Masters in Reinsurance from the Reinsurance Institute (Ecole Nationale d’Assurances), Paris, France (2002).

He pointed out that Thierry’s extensive professional journey of over two decades includes notable roles such as vice president, Treaties Africa and Indian Sub-continent at CCR Re France from 2019 to 2023, Regional Director of West Africa and International Business at Zep Re, Kenya from 2014 to 2019 and Head of African Office at ARIG from 2007 to 2014.

Also, he served as a Board Member at Waica Re from 2015 to 2019.

Thierry’s diverse expertise positions him as a valuable asset to Continental Reinsurance Plc.
