FORMER Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Alhaji Abubakar Tsav, has said that members of the Tiv nation should blame their political leaders for their inability to get appointments in the present administration.
Several people of Tiv extraction had taken to the cyber space, criticsing government over the Monday appointment stating that the tribe marginalised in the past and latest appointment despite their support for the ruling party in the last general election.
Tsav who was reacting to the development said, ‘my people have been reacting openly over this but the problem is that there is no unity among the Tiv political leaders. There is no doubt that we have intelligent people in Tiv land and Benue by extension but the problem is because of the leaders’ primordial interest’.
“If all the senators in the state can come together and form a formidable team, there will be progress in the state, aside Senator David Mark, who has tried for his people in Idoma land, the other two senators Akume and Gemade have done nothing.
The former police boss further said that as long as the Tiv nation continued to parade categories of people in the political affairs of the state nay Tiv nation, ‘Tiv people may not get their desired position in the affairs of the country because every nominee for appointment has to pass through screening.
Tsav further called on the state governor, Chief Samuel Ortom to inject new blood into administration, no one will respect us’.
“Our people should not blame the president because we are not united, despite that President Buhari administration is investigating the immediate past administration, the president still work and have audience with Jonathan,” he stated.
