Apple recognises Nigeria’s Yunus Oyetunde in 2025 Hall of Fame for cybersecurity excellence

Kwara-born Ethical Hacker Yunus Oyetunde has once again made headlines as he was recognized in the Apple Hall of Fame for 2025. He is the only Nigerian to be acknowledged by the world’s largest tech company.

For the fifth consecutive year, Apple has shortlisted Oyetunde, a Lagos-based cybersecurity expert known as Coy Emerald, as one of its security researchers for 2025.

The company published this information on its web server security acknowledgments page, highlighting the contributions of ethical hackers who have helped protect over 2.2 billion active devices worldwide.

Oyetunde has established himself in the cybersecurity industry with his expertise in ethical hacking.

As a young and accomplished professional, he is the visionary behind the O-range Ethical Hacking Class, where he serves as both CEO and instructor.

His passion for educating others has earned him recognition for imparting cybersecurity knowledge while building a successful business.

Yunus has risen to prominence on social media, solidifying his position as a leading ethical hacker in Nigeria.

Armed with extensive experience, he is dedicated to not only maximizing revenue through adept social media marketing but also sharing these strategies with others.

Beyond his role as an educator, Yunus has made significant contributions as a bug bounty hunter and technical writer. His talents have been acknowledged by major entities like Google, Microsoft, Apple, Procenne, and a renowned Switzerland Hosting Provider, Hostpoint. In the past three years, he was commended by the Nigeria Police Force for enhancing the security of a critical application.
