Apostolic Church president proffers solution to unemployment

Published by

President of the Apostolic Church Nigeria, Pastor (Dr) Sampson Igwe, has said that the church and government at all levels should provide employment opportunities to the youths and curb corruption in the nation.

Pastor Igwe made this known at the press conference during the tour of LAWNA Territory, Lagos zone held at LAWNA International Convention Grounds, Ketu, Lagos State.

He said the church and the government should be ready to empower the youth physically, emotionally, socially and spiritually as they are assets for the church and nation.

He also stressed that government at all levels should make economics policies that would cushion the effect of youth unemployment which has led to insecurity, banditry, insurgency and kidnapping in the country.

Igwe revealed that the church has been playing the role of fighting against corruption by praying and preaching the gospel to the people in the nation.

He added that the church was providing employment opportunities to the people in the society regardless of their religious beliefs, through the establishment of schools and other business establishments.

The president said if the church and government at all levels would work hard to address unemployment among the youths, corruption would be tackled.

On the issue of xenophobic attacks, Pastor Igwe advised the Federal Government to empower the returnees through their various state governments so that they would not regret their decision to return home.

He said the president should leverage existing bilateral trade relations with South Africa to put an end to the act and ensure peaceful coexistence among Nigerians.
