APGA primaries crisis: Aspirants in Onitsha agree on peaceful resolution

MEMBERS of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA in Onitsha North and South Federal Constituency, who hitherto were aggrieved over the outcome of the party’s recent primaries, have agreed to resolve their differences.
The reconciliation meeting which was convened by the immediate past Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Anambra State Housing Development Corporation, Chief Patrick Obianwu at Onitsha, was attended by the Caretaker Committee Chairman of Onitsha North local government area, Mr Patrick Agha-Mba and most of the APGA aspirants who participated in the recent party primaries in Onitsha North and South.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Obianwu, expressed happiness that majority of party faithful in the two local government areas have hearkened to the call of Governor Willie Obiano and the National Executive Committee of APGA, for reconciliation over the conduct and results of the primaries.

He enthused that with the positive development, the party will maintain its winning streak in the 2019 general elections, especially in Anambra State.
On his part, the Caretaker Committee Chairman for Onitsha North Local Government Area, Mr Agha-Mba, enumerated the unprecedented achievements of the Obiano administration in Onitsha metropolis and other parts of the State and stressed the need for the citizenry to sustain their support for the State government.
In their various remarks, all the former aspirants during APGA primaries to the State House of Assembly expressed happiness with the reconciliatory move and pledged to lend their unflinching support and loyalty to Governor Obiano, who is the National Leader and Board of Trustees Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance.
