APC will keep all electoral promises in Ogun ― Abiodun

GOVERNORSHIP candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has said that his party would keep all electoral promises when it gets to power on May 29.

He said this on Monday at the flag-off of his gubernatorial campaign at Atan, in Ijebu North-East Local Government Area of the state, while addressing party supporters, that is administration would implement all programmes as contained in the policy documents of his party.

Abiodun promised to return life to the third -tier of government in the state, saying that activities at the local government levels in the last couple of years had been crippled.

“By returning power to local government chairmen to operate unfettered, council bosses will no longer have to go to Abeokuta to beg for funds to run their administration.

“They will be like mayors, like what we have in the advanced countries. By so doing, they will have time to deliver good programmes for the people of their immediate communities.

“Also, there will be prompt payment of salaries of teachers and civil servants in the state, without delay,” said Abiodun.

He canvassed for votes from people of the area in the elections to ensure his victory and that of President Muhammadu Buhari at the polls.

He said: “Don’t be confused, but ensure you cast your votes for me as your next governor of Ogun State. You should know where you are coming from and know where you are going.”

The former deputy governor of the state, Senator Adegbenga Kaka, urged the people of Ijebu North-East to vote for all candidates of APC in the elections.

“Except those who are blind would not be able to differentiate what is good from bad. You are to follow a right path by casting your votes for a good candidate like Dapo Abiodun as your next governor of Ogun State,” Kaka added.
