APC unveils candidates for Gombe LG polls

As Gombe State gears up for the upcoming 2024 Local Government Councils Election to shape the future of governance at the grassroots level, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has unveiled its slate of candidates for chairmanship and deputy chairmanship positions, including two women.

The list, which emerged following a consensus process, was submitted to the Gombe State Independent Electoral Commission (GOSIEC) and duly signed by the APC Chairman, Nitte Amangal, and Secretary, Abubakar Umar S. Goro.

It presents a lineup of individuals poised to lead their respective local government areas with vision and a commitment to progress in line with the development agenda of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya when given the mandate.

The submission of candidates signifies a significant step in the democratic process in line with GOSIEC guidelines as parties prepare to engage voters and articulate their plans for development and service delivery.

The list is as follows: Akko Local Government, Hon. Danladi Adamu (Chairman), Habib Hassan (Deputy Chairman); Balanga Local Government, Ibrahim Salisu (Chairman), Philemon Ezra (Deputy Chairman); Billiri Local Government, Mrs. Egla Idris (Chairman), Yila Maidawa (Deputy Chairman); and Dukku Local Government, Adamu Mohammed Waziri (Chairman), Umar Manu Malala (Deputy Chairman).

Others are: Funakaye Local Government, Shu’aibu Abdulrahman (Chairman), Umaru Busum (Deputy Chairman); Gombe Local Government, Barr. Sani Ahmad Haruna (Chairman), Mohammed Adamu Manga (Deputy Chairman); Kaltungo Local Government, Hon. Iliya Suleiman (Chairman), Mohammed Isa Umar (Deputy Chairman); and Kwami Local Government, Dr. Ahmad Wali Doho (Chairman), Dahiru Ajiya Bojude (Deputy Chairman).

The rest are: Nafada Local Government, Babangida Adamu (Chairman), Jabbo Magaji (Deputy Chairman); Shongom Local Government, Hon. Binta Bello (Chairman), Alfred Bobby (Deputy Chairman); and Yamaltu Deba Local Government, Abubakar Hassan Difa (Chairman), Murtala Daqauna (Deputy Chairman).

The APC stated that the candidates for the forthcoming local government council election represent a diverse array of backgrounds and experiences, united by a shared commitment to advancing the interests of the people they seek to serve in the quest for a brighter future for Gombe State.
