APC trains future leaders not militants ― Ebonyi youth leader

The All Progressive Congress (APC) Youth Leader in Ebonyi State, Comrade Ogochukwu Elem, has described APC government as party good at producing future leaders and not militants.

The youth leader stated this in his office at Abakaliki while commending Governor David Umahi for integrating youths into the political system in the state.

According to him, youths inclusiveness in governance has reduced crime and other social vices to its barest minimum in the state.

Elem, however, assured the governor of his commitment to ensuring that all his objectives for the youth are actualized even as he promised to ensure that all youth groups in the state come together with common vision and objectives to fight disunity, dissatisfaction and other social vices.

He, however, maintained that Ebonyi State is fully APC state and not PDP as some PDP youths claimed.

According to him, the youth are interested in what they will get from the noise they are making.

“I am going to develop some programs that will integrate and bring the youths together and harness their potentials so that the youth will be contributing members of the society.

“I want to commend Governor David Umahi for integrating the youth into the political system and this his actions, have reduced crime to its barest minimum in the state. And now as the acting APC youth leader, I will assist the governor to ensure that all his objectives for the youths are actualized.

“Our coming in cannot bring disunity, disaffection, we are going to work together as APC.

“We are going to organise a programme where all the youth groups will come together to champion a cause inasmuch they have a common vision, objectives with a policy direction of the governor and APC.

“Violence is not in our nature because we do not believe in it and we shall work hard to put an end to it by integrating and engaging the youth of Ebonyi State meaningfully, there will not be violence and anyone found wanting, the law will take its course because we are not training militants we are training future leaders and shall follow the footsteps of the future leaders.”
