APC Professionals Council drums support for party’s guber candidates

Ahead of the Nov. 11, 2023, governorship election in Kogi, Bayelsa, and Imo states, the APC Professionals Council has urged voters to vote massively for the candidates of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), saying that they should vote for these candidates for the greater prosperity of the states.

The three are among the states where the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) conducts off-season elections, with a fresh poll held on November 11 to elect new governors.

The Council made the call in a signed statement by its National Director General, Hon. Seyi Bamigbade, saying that a vote for Usman Ododo, Timipre Sylva, and Governor Hope Uzodinma, who are flag bearers of the party in Kogi, Bayelsa, and Imo states, respectively, is a vote to reap bountifully at the centre under the people-oriented policies of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in putting the people at the forefront.

Bamigbade assured that Ododo would continue with the developmental strides of Governor Yahaya Bello in the state if elected into office, having demonstrated capacity in his professional endeavour, rising to the rank of the Auditor General of the Local Government in the state.

In respect of Bayelsa, the APC chieftain described Sylva as an astute leader who had held several positions of authority and played key roles in the development of the ruling party in the state and across the country.

“In Bayelsa, former Governor Timipre Sylva is an astute leader who has held several positions of authority and has played key roles in the development of our party in the state and across the country

“His legacies as former governor of the state are still there for all to see, a capacity which he equally demonstrated as the Minister of State of Petroleum Resources under the administration of ex-President Muhammadu Buhari,” he said.

This was just as Bamigbade affirmed that Governor Uzodinma of Imo State had shown that the APC is a party to be trusted in the Southeast region and elsewhere in the country, saying that the infrastructure renewal and massive empowerment of youths and women were all clear signals that hope abounds in Imo.

“In Imo, Governor Hope Uzodinma has shown that the APC is a party to be trusted in the Southeast region and elsewhere in the country. The infrastructure renewal and massive empowerment of youth and women are all clear signals that hope abounds in Imo.

“Therefore, as you all go out this Saturday to vote, support these candidates for the greater prosperity of the states,” he said.
