The group, which said it was rooting for the election of Micheal Opeyemi Bamidele as the APC candidate, said in a statement that the delegates should vote with the interest of the state at the back of their minds.
Its coordinator, Segun Adewolu, said Bamidele stood out among the 33 aspirants seeking the party’s ticket at the primary, saying they arrived at the decision after they had “X-rayed Bamidele, particularly his antecedents and come to the conclusion that he is the best for the state at this point in time.”
Adewolu, said the economy of the state had been ruined in the last three years, adding that “the state needs someone with the much-needed connection and exposure to steer the ship of the state to the path of steady growth.”
According to him, “having gone through the programmes and manifestoes of Bamidele, we have come to the conclusion that he got the much-needed credentials to move the state forward.”
He warned that it would be suicidal for the state to handover its affairs to another greenhorn or someone whose sole aim of going into governance is to enhance his economic power.
The group maintained that Bamidele would do well for the state
