THE National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, on Thursday held a closed door meeting with the House of Representatives, APC caucus.
The meeting, Tribune Online, learnt was to discuss how the caucus would help in supporting the agenda of the APC led Federal Government and as well the funding of the party’s activities.
The APC National Chairman led the National Working Committee of the party to the closed door meeting where the, Speaker of the House, Hon Yakubu Dogara-led the other APC members in the House to the meeting.
The APC national chairman however said that APC members in the House do not owe party dues and commended them for their show of loyalty.
The meeting however discussed the progress of the 2017 Appropriations bill, which is presently going through the legislative mill in the parliament.
Chief Oyegun in a brief chat with newsmen after the meeting said that “As you can see we are all smiling. We discussed general issues; the budget and the progress it is making.”
He also said that “The fact that the House has been very supportive of the government and the party, we congratulate the Rt Hon Speaker and members for the way so far they have been behind Federal government and the party.”
