APC NWC mourns demise of Oyo Chairman, Omodewu

The National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed shock over the death of the Chairman of its Oyo State chapter, Barrister Isaac Ajiboye Omodewu.

In a statement issued on Monday, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Barrister Felix Morka, declared that the party has “lost a dedicated leader who worked tirelessly for the growth and success of the party in Oyo State, the South West region, and, indeed, the entire country. The late Omodewu will be sorely missed.”

The statement, issued in Abuja, reads,  “The All Progressives Congress (APC) is shocked and deeply saddened by the death of Barr. Isaac Ajiboye Omodewu, the Party’s Chairman in Oyo State.

“Until his passing, Omodewu was an accomplished politician, cerebral lawyer, and shrewd administrator who served meritoriously as Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, and later, as Commissioner for Lands and Housing in the administration of Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State.

“Our great Party has lost a dedicated leader who worked tirelessly for the growth and success of the APC in Oyo State, the South West region, and, indeed, the entire country. The late Omodewu will be sorely missed.

“As the Party mourns, we take solace in the enduring example of selfless service and patriotism that the late Omodewu represented.

“Our solemn thoughts and prayers are with his family, the state chapter of our great Party, the government, and the good people of Oyo State at this difficult time.

“We extend our condolences to the Forum of APC State Chairmen over the demise of their eminent colleague.

“May the soul of the late Barr. Isaac Ajiboye Omodewu find eternal rest. Amen.”
