APC national secretary unveils gov bid, inaugurates Alubarika Movement

Published by

National secretary ff the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Ajibola Basiru, on Sunday  inaugurated “ Alubarika Movement” ,to fortify his ambition for the 2026 gubernatorial seat in Osun State.

The state coordinating council in all local governments and wards for the Movement were inaugurated at the Osogbo City hall.

However, the state coordinators in the local governments and the area councils in Modakeke said to be politicians, who are well versed in the “ABC” of politics and politicking of the state.

Speaking at the event, Senator Basiru stated that, the inauguration was done as part of preparation for the great task ahead, saying all efforts should be made to ensure the APC regains power in the state.

He assured that APC governorship primary will be free and fair, adding: “I can assure you that the candidate may emerge from consensus arrangements by leadership of the party”.

The former commissioner in the state, who maintained that there is no rift within the party, hinted that the “ambition  of a few individuals is what is causing the rift within the opposition party and it is to the joy of us as a ruling party if they don’t get their house together. It is not our job to help them put their house in order.

According to him, “APC  can not be divided. Our party is a party of leadership and as I said, everybody that is a member of the party has legitimate desire to ensure that we have a candidate that will be able to deliver and defeat the PDP. “

“In Ondo state for instance, there were 16 aspirants and we were able to get the right candidate that was able to deliver for the party.”

“The same thing in Edo, we have more than 16 there and we resolved the matter. Everybody has the right to aspire to be leadership in the party.”

While x-raying Adeleke’s performance in the state, he scored him zero saying, his administration is directionless.

“It is a government that has no direction. Even the so called flyover they are doing, it’s being done without any project management sense and it shows lack of coordination, lack of leadership and lack of focus of the government.”

“The PDP in Osun state has failed in the area of education, health, empowerment. Will it not surprise you that the budget of the governor’s house is far more than the budget of agriculture, education and health combined, he stressed.
