APC LG congress: Sokoto agrees on consensus process

Sokoto State chapter of All Progressive Congress (APC) has adopted the process of consensus in the local government congress of the party.

The Minister of Police Affairs, Maigari Dingyadi stated this while addressing delegates and members of the party in Bodinga, headquarters of Bodinga local government area of the state.

He said out of the three options available to the party to choose from the leadership of the party under the acting chairman, Honourable Sodiq Acida, agreed for consensus for all the available positions.

“The party decided to go for members with proven integrity to steer the affairs of the party ahead of 2023 general elections.

“The party with this development is poised itself to have a successful putting in the upcoming 2023 general election in the state,” he added.

 

He advised the newly elected officials of the party in Bodinga and remaining local governments in the state to maintain their integrity and be ready to work for the progress of the party.

Also speaking, Professor Bashir Lawal, National delegate for the local government congress in Sokoto State, commends party faithful in the state for a peaceful congress.

He described the process adopted by the party in the state which produced the executive as rancour free and commendable.
