APC is the only party on ground in Sokoto ― Ex-minister

A former Minister of Transportation and  Sokoto State campaign Director General of the main opposition, All Progressive Congress (APC), Honourable Yusuf Suleiman, has described the success recorded by the party in the recent Presidential and National Assembly elections in the State as a real sign that APC has no opposition in the State.
Hon Suleiman described Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in the State as a dead party. He stated this while reacting to the successful outing of his party at the poll.
Suleiman, who is the DG campaign that led the party not only to deliver the highest number votes for President Muhammadu Buhari but also won the three Senatorial seats, as well as nine House of Representatives seats.
He described most of the PDP leaders in the State as paperweight politicians. He said, ” These are politicians that have no value in politics thereby cannot even deliver their polling units not to talk of Local Government for any political party.
He, however, advised the PDP led government in the State to be ready to quit the Government house, saying his party (APC), is hundred per cent ready for the Gubernatorial election in the State.
According to Suleiman, ” My candidate is well prepared than anyone, not even the incumbent Governor can match him in terms of public service experience, education and what have you.
” Having spent about 10 years as a director in the civil service, a former Commissioner in the State, a former deputy Governor. Can you tell me who is more prepared between the contestants” he asked.
The APC chieftain also accused the PDP led government in the state and INEC of cancelling six polling units in one of the strongholds of APC at Tureta because of card readers which he termed as a treasonable offence.
He lamented that the cancels votes would have added to President Buhari votes in the State, saying,” I felt so concern for the rejected votes which I am sure are for APC.
” Our party will do whatever we can to continue to enlighten the electorate on what can invalidate electoral process”.
