APC is only party in Bauchi ―Nana

CHAIRMAN of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in Bauchi State, Uba Ahmed Nana has declared that no political party can defeat the party in the state during the 2019 general elections.

Uba Nana stated this Thursday in an interview with newsmen in Bauchi saying that considering that the state is an APC state and coupled with the achievements recorded within the short period of three years it will be difficult to wrestle power from the party.

According to him, “the people of the state were determined to vote for APC in all the constituencies in the state because of the achievements put in place in the past three years.”

He further said that in spite of the economic recession, the administration was able to handle some of the road projects and completed some even when there were a lot of distractions that could make the administration to abandon its campaigns promises to the people.

Uba Nana said that “Why it is difficult for anybody to win us in Bauchi State is because of the projects done by the Governor, Mohammed Abubakar in his short stay in office coupled that the state is an APC state. The civil servants are happy with us, nobody will be happy when at the end of the months they cannot take their wages home.”

He added that “We have done a lot to fulfils campaign promises, If you go to Misau to Gamawa axis we have a lot of bad roads before now, today we have fixed them. All the general hospitals are death, some of the health centres are not functioning they are all fixed functioning.”

The APC chairman also said that “We also train and retrain our doctors and health workers across the state for effective service delivery.”

According to Uba Nana, the state is enjoying peaceful atmosphere for that, attracts tourists and visitors just as he however assured that the state government is determined to provide the dividend of democracy and campaigns promises to the citizens.

But in a swift reaction, a chieftain of the main opposition political party in the country, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Yusuf Garba said that the pronouncement by the State Chairman of ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) is a mere political propaganda declaring that the party has nothing to show that was done to people of the state in the last three years.

Yusuf Garba said that “They are trying to cover up their shame of not performing in the state with propaganda”, adding that “that will not deter us from our strategies to oust the APC from power in the state.”

The PDP chieftain added that the APC led Administration has failed the citizens of the state for none and poor performance in three years saying, “I want to assure you that PDP concluded arrangement to wrestle power from the APC in the state.”

He concluded that ‘Bauchi is the home of PDP, so we are coming back in 2019 to reclaim our home snatched by the APC through rigging in 2015.”
