APC group dismisses video linking Matawalle to banditry

Published by

The All Progressive Congress (APC) Unity and Reconciliation Forum Zamfara has condemned the sponsors of a video clip circulating on notorious Bandits kingpin Bello Turji linking the State Minister of Defense, Bello Matawalle with banditry in the state, saying it’s a handiwork of enemies of Zamfara and Nigeria at large.

This was disclosed on Monday by the Zamfara State chairman of APC unity and reconciliation forum Alhaji Mande Umar while speaking with newsmen in the state.

Mande Umar (forum Chairman) described the circulating video clip as a means to tarnish the good reputation of former Governor Matawalle now minister of state for defense as baseless and would not deter the minister from his national assignment of providing security to every citizen.

According to him, former Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle has made history on provision of security to the people of Zamfara to the best of his ability when he was a Governor, which he needs to be applauded.

“When Matawalle was the Governor of Zamfara, residents have witnessed tremendous, remarkable reduction of armed banditry in the state unlike now when people are no longer confidence on safety of their lives and property in the state “.

The forum described Bello Matawalle as leader with sincerity, dedication who always believes in performance not failure.

They warned political enemies to stop sponsoring a bandit, kingpin Bello Turji, damaging good reputation of leaders with good intentions, and people with sincere hearts to develop the state and nation at large.

The unity and reconciliation forum blamed the development on the plans of those they described as enemies of Zamfara and Nigeria as a whole.

“Matawalle-led Zamfara as Governor with all sense of Sincerity, humility, honesty, dedication and fight banditry for residents to be properly secure and their properties”.
