Mourners wept uncontrollably on Monday morning in Igangan of Atakumosa East Central Local Government Area of Osun State when a yet to be identified gunmen murdered the All Progressive Congress (APC) Chairman of the local government, Chief Gbenga Ogbara in the early hours of the day.
Investigations revealed that the gunmen stormed the residence of the deceased at around 1.30.a.m during the day where they shot him.
Informed sources hinted that the deceased was in his sitting room relaxing when the evil perpetrators stormed the residence to claim his life.

The corpse of the late chairman however said to have been deposited at the Wesley Guild Hospital, Ilesa.
The state Police Command Public Relations Officer, Mrs Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the incident and assured that the culprits would be fished out.
She further promised that the perpetrators of the evil act would be made to face the consequences of their inhuman deeds after being apprehended.
Opalola added that, policemen had been deployed to the scene of the incident for proper investigations on the matter.
