APC is becoming more attractive because of Buhari’s achievements —Plateau chairman

Published by

THE Chairman, All Progressives Congress (APC), Plateau State, Honourable Latep Dabang, has stated that the party is becoming more attractive to Nigerians because of its laudable programmes and the achievements of President Mohammadu Buhari and APC governors.

Dabang, who stated this in an interview in Jos, the state capital, said the stability in the party has further boosted its image and acceptability by Nigerians, adding that “this contributed to why members of opposition parties keep defecting to the APC.”

He said: “Before 2019, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau State and Nigeria as a whole would become a shadow of itself because no serious politician would want to waste his time in a crisis-ridden party.”

According to him, APC is attractive presently because of its performance at all levels in the past one and half year.

“APC governments, both at the state and federal levels, have performed tremendously well in the past one and half year. The party has performed so well that any serious politician would certainly want to identify with.”

On political ideology, the state chairman of APC expressed doubt if politicians or political parties in the country operate on the basis of ideology.

“I don’t think all the political parties in Nigeria have ideology outside capitalism. All of them are capitalist oriented. What might appear different is the will to fight corruption and to serve the people,” he said.
