AS controversy continues to trail the outcome of the last gubernatorial election in Bauchi State which led to the declaration of the election as inconclusive and consequent upon the constitution of a panel by INEC to investigate the cancellation of the election result from Tafawa-Balewa, Concerned Elders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State have called on the Committee to also cancel that of Bauchi local government.
While speaking with newsmen Thursday in Bauchi, Chairman of the Elders Forum, Alhaji Yerima Aliyu Giade said that since the electoral body would revisit the election issues after making a pronouncement earlier that supplementary election would hold, the results of Bauchi local government should also be nullified.
Yerima Giade said that the result was totally unacceptable to them as the election was allegedly marred by thuggery and intimation of APC supporters.

The APC elders also urged security agencies in the state to take action in order to stop rallies and demonstrations currently being staged by political supporters in the state as no winner has yet been officially declared.
“We equally call on all citizens to maintain the peace and act in the best of conduct before, during and after the supplementary election which shall come up on Saturday 23rd March 2019, Insha Allah and never to allow themselves to be provoked by anyone who does not wish our dear state well,” he appealed.
It would be recalled that before the declaration of the election as inconclusive, the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) polled a total of 102, 000 votes against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) which polled a total of 56, 000 votes in Bauchi local government.
