Anyaoku, Kukah to speak at Tribune symposium Tuesday

Bishop Matthew Kukah of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto will be the guest speaker at a symposium on “Electoral Integrity, Legitimacy of Democratic Institutions and Good Governance” scheduled to hold 11am on Tuesday, at Sheraton Hotel, Lagos.

A man of many good parts, Kukah is renowned for speaking truth to power, engaging in constructive criticisms, promoting peace and conflict resolution and translating the ideals of democratic and responsible political leadership.

The symposium organized by African Newspapers of Nigeria Plc, publisher of Tribune titles, will have a former Secretary General of the Commonwealth, Chief Emeka Anyaoku as its Chairman.

Also billed to attend the discourse are the company’s Chairman, Dr Tokunbo Awolowo-Dosumu; Managing Director/Editor-in-chief, Nigerian Tribune, Mr Edward Dickson; staff and board members of Tribune; public office holders, traditional rulers, media executives, heads of industries, religious leaders among other members of the public.

Meanwhile, the new look Tribune, showcasing distinct masthead and inimitable pages layout, is also being unveiled today.

All titles of African Newspapers of Nigeria Plc, Nigerian Tribune, Saturday Tribune and Sunday Tribune, are set to wear the new look henceforth as part of innovations to herald the company’s 70 years anniversary.
