Another honour for Sunny Ade in Ondo

Going by the information reaching R, the celebration in honouring the, Chief Sunday Adeniyi Adegeye, popularly known as, KSA, at 70 is not over, even as the entertainment industry stood still to celebrate him last Sunday at the “Sunny on Sunday” music concert organised by one of the leading event managements in the industry, The Temple.

This time, KSA will be honoured on December 22 by the Ondo State government as an ambassador of Ondo State. R gathered that the Ondo State governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, royal fathers and the entire citizens of the state will host and celebrate the ‘king of music’. The dinner party will also feature an award presentation to KSA.

The live performance of the like of Terry Apala, Niniola, Tiwa Savage, Dare Art Alade, Onyeka Onwenu and KSA, among other activities at the “Sunny on Sunday” concert, has been rated the best music concert held this year.

One of the high point of the event was the talk about new record in celebrity auctioning of his vintage Fender Telecaster guitar, produced in 1950, sold for N52.1million at the new Temple Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Speaking with R, Sunny Ade said “I am overwhelmed with the honour I have received in the last four months. I can’t thank everyone that one way or the other celebrated me. My greatest joy is that I am being celebrated in my life time as one of the greatest musician in Nigeria.”
