Another feather in Ebenezer Obey’s cap

Published by

Ahead of his 75th birthday celebration to come later in the year, another award of excellence and recognition has been added to the collection of the Miliki maestro, Evangelist Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi.

This development came towards the last days of 2016, precisely, December 29, when the Faculty of Law of the Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, hosted and honoured the music icon as part of the activities marking the end of the year programme of the faculty tagged: “A Day Out with Evangelist (Professor) Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi (MFR)”.

One of the high points of the event was an interactive session and a special presentation titled: “Law in His Music, Music in His Veins,” which was coordinated by a senior lecturer of the faculty, Dr (Mrs) Kolawole Adeejat.

The Vice Chancellor of the institution, Professor Saburi Adesanya officially presented a plague of “Distinguished Life Time Achievement Award” to Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi amidst cheers, while some of the  best law students of the Nigerian Law School, members of OOU Law Alumni and the Vice Chancellor whose tenure will end in six months time, were also decorated with awards of excellence.

In a bid to express his gratitude,  Obey thanked and thrilled the school management and everyone present with a non-stop live performance.
