At anniversary, Ayodele, others to Buhari: Why you must step down for Saraki in 2019

WITH an insistence that one would rather describe as unusual, founder and spiritual head of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, with headquarters in Lagos, Primate Babatunde Elijah Ayodele, in the company of other clerics like founder of the Divine Seed of God Chapel Ministries, Prophet Wale Olagunju, argued that President Muhammadu Buhari should forget elongating his stay in office beyond 2019,

They insisted that it would be detrimental to the wellbeing of the nation, just as it was emphasised that the current Senate President, Bukola Saraki, should be allowed to steer the affairs of the country if Nigeria would do well.

Ayodele, who had repeatedly argued that the welfare of the country had experienced challenges since President Buhari took over, persistently stated while delivering his speech at the just-concluded INRI 560th Anniversary Week of Appreciation, which was held within the church premises, recently, told those who had come for the event that “God is interested in Nigeria but He is no longer working with the present administration which is led by President Muhammadu Buhari.

“I have neither met nor spoken with the present Senate President, Bukola Saraki, but God wants to use him to revamp this nation in 2019.

“I have said this over and over again. I will say it here again. Buhari should step down for Bukola Saraki in 2019. Our economy has seen its worst. As a nation, many things have gone wrong and we need to ensure that we work with the Almighty God to reposition our country.”

In his remarks, Prophet Olagunju called on all Nigerians to pray for the nation so as to put things on the right path.

“I am very sad that things are the way they are. God speaks to his people but humans are particularly stubborn. We are prophets of the Most High God and God speaks to us. We must do all in our power to obey the instructions that proceed from him.

“The president should forget seeking reelection in 2019. Things would get worse should he get reelected,” he said.

Among the awards given to Primate Ayodele included City Plus Magazine Award and City People Magazine Award.

Also, Primate Ayodele was decorated as the Life Patron of the Nigerian Football Supporters Club (NFSC).

While decorating Ayodele, Dr Rafiu Ladipo, President General of the Nigerian Football and other Sports Supporters Club, commended the cleric, saying “Primate Ayodele has been of great assistance to the supporters club and has taken immense interest in the progress of the sporting sector of the country.

“Today, we join others in celebrating him. The Super Eagles and other teams started having problems when consultations stopped with the cleric. But we are going to renew our resolution in partnering with this man of God.”
