Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN)
A presidential hopeful on the ticket of the Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN), Alhaji Ibrahim Eyitayo Dan-Musa, on Friday withdrew from the race for the party’s ticket in favour of another frontline aspirant, Mr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim.
Dan-Musa, who submitted a letter announcing his withdrawal from the race and support for Olawepo-Hashim to the National Chairman of ANN, Pastor Emmanuel Dania on Friday said that he was withdrawing from the race so as to ensure unity and cohesion in the party.
He said that he was also of the view that the older generation must yield space to the younger and more digital friendly generation in order to move the country forward.

Dan-Musa also stated that his decision to withdraw from the race and team up with Olawepo-Hashim, was reached after due consultations with his supporters.
He stated that his supporters would be mobilised to ensure that Olawepo-Hashim clinched the presidential ticket of the party, adding that the same effort would be invested to ensure ANN’s victory in the February 16, 2019 presidential election.
He described Olawepo-Hashim as “a proactive politician who understands the dynamics of Nigerian politics. He is a very vibrant youth who has been part of the politics of the forth republic where we had both, as foundation leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), played prominent roles. He was a foundation deputy national publicity secretary of the party.”
