Governorship candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP); All Progressives Congress (APC), African Democratic Congress (ADC), Social Democratic Party (SDP) and six other parties, in Lagos, have confirmed their intention to be part of the Diocese of Lagos West Anglican Communion 2019 Lagos Governorahip debate expected to hold on Monday, January 14th.

The Bishop of the Diocese of Lagos West, Anglican Communion, his lordship, the Right Reverend Dr. James Olusola Odedeji made this known during a press briefing, organised by the church.
Bishop Odedeji said that “ The church is organising this special divine – ordained governorship debate to help the electorates make up thier minds on who to vote for after listening to the manifestoes of the candidates.
The cleric added that the debate which is expected to hold at Archbishop Vining Memorial Cathedral Ikeja GRA, is being organised by Lagos West Diocese Anglican Communion in colloboration with the dioceses of Lagos, Badagry and Lagos Mainland.
The debate, the cleric added, is aimed at sensitisinig the Lagos electorates for a peaceful and productive election.
Bishop Odrdeji said that “ it is the duty of all Nigerians to make this nation great because the task of rebuilding Nigeria is a task that must be done. so for Nigeria to get it right. Nigerians must be ready to vote in the right leaders that will perform”.
The Governorship panel will be made up of media practitioners, in the country.
The cleric concluded that two hundred and fifty election observers from the Church will be trained by INEC to observe the forthcoming general elections.
