THE new Commissioner of Police in Anambra State, Mr Danduara Mustapha has set the agenda of re-invigorating standard policing that will fight criminal activities in the state.
Mr Mustapha stated this during the handover ceremony at the Anambra State Police Headquarters Amawbia, Anambra State.
The new Police Commissioner, who said he is the 20th commissioner posting so far to the state, vowed to fight crime to the end and ensure that the Anambra Police Command continues to be the best in the country.
While warning politicians to play the game according to the rules, he said he will not tolerate any political thuggery in the state and that anyone caught would face the wrath of the law.
He also warned officers and men of the command not to indulge in bribe taking because his administration will not welcome that.
On the forthcoming election, the commissioner said his posting to Anambra state is to ensure adequate security of lives and properties during Saturday Presidential and National Assembly election as well as the March 2 polls.
He promised to work with the officers and men of the command as well as the support of the security-friendly State Governor, Willie Obiano to see that crime is reduced to the berries minimum across the state.
He, therefore, urged officers and men of the State Police Command to remain professional and police with integrity ensure success during the Presidential and National Assembly election.
In the fight against cultism, he adding that he would work in the same spirit with his predecessor, Mr Garba Umar because cultism is the root and the most dangerous crimes in the society today.

The new commissioner, who begins his first assignment with the inspection of damage cause by the tanker fire that claimed seven lives last Saturday night near Governor lodge Amaobia, called the state governor to relocate traders and a filling station from the roundabout to avoid future occurrences.
The Katsina State-born Police Chief began his distinguished law enforcement career with the Nigerian Police Force in 1990; March 3, as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police.
The New CP has served in different formations of the Force among which are,but not limited to; P and G Adewole Estate Police Division, Kwara State Police Command, Divisional Traffic Officer ‘B’ Division Surulere.
ADC to the civilian Governor of Kwara State in 1993; also ADC to military Administrator Adamawa State in 1994.
He is popular within the Police circles as “MR GOAL GETTER” in reference to his outstanding meritorious service in the Force.
He was also a one time the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) Gwarimpa and Karo Abuja. And enviably, the National Assembly Divisional Police Officer(DPO) Abuja.

Until his appointment as the Commissioner of Police Anambra State Command, he was CP Railway Command Lagos.
The new CP attended numerous Strategic Security Watch Professional Courses Internationally such as Police Academy Cairo Egypt, International Law Enforcement Academy Botswana And International Law Enforcement Academy New Mexico, USA.
