The Anambra state police command on Friday said it has rescued one Obinna Davidson with his Red Lexus Car model GS 300 Registration No EHM 32 EHRH who was abducted by kidnappers in Owerri, the Imo state capital a few days ago.
The Command PPRO, SP Haruna Mohammed who disclosed this in a statement in Awka said following the distress call from Owerri in Imo state that gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted one Obinna Davidson and his car and that they are heading towards Onitsha axes in Anambra state, the Patrol teams attached to Operation Udoka was alerted of the incident who later traced the hoodlums to a secluded flat located inside a bush around Oba area in Idemili South LGA of the State.

According to him, the victim was rescued unhurt and his Vehicle recovered. Hoodlums escaped through the rear fence into the bush.
Meanwhile, a search was conducted inside the building and the following exhibits were recovered; two AK47 rifles with ten rounds of live ammunition, one Beretta pistol with ten rounds of .9mm ammunition.
Also in a statement, the police detectives attached to the state command has arrested one Collins Ike ‘m’ at Limca road Nkpor in Idemili North LGA of the State for been in possession of stolen vehicles.
According to the PPRO, preliminary investigation revealed that suspect is a receiver of stolen vehicles and two Honda CRV vehicles with REG numbers AL 291 GRA black in colour and PR 226 AAA were recovered from the suspect including the one earlier reported stolen.
He said both cases under investigation and effort is ongoing to apprehend fleeing accomplices in order to bring them to Justice.
