The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Anambra State Council, has been selected to benefit from the ‘One Youth, Two Skills’ initiative of the Governor Chukwuma Soludo-led administration.
The State Commissioner for Youth Development, Mr Patrick Ayamba, who made the announcement on behalf of the Governor in his office in Awka on Thursday, said the Union was captured under the existing business category, where their capacity would be built for expansion and job creation. He described the state government’s relationship with the NUJ as one that goes beyond consumption.
Earlier, the Chairman of the NUJ, Anambra State Council, Dr Emeka Odogwu, said the visit was to seek partnership with the Ministry in the areas of capacity building, empowerment, and training for members of the NUJ in Anambra State. He noted that when one youth progresses, other youths benefit from it.
