Anambra governor inaugurates ultramodern gas plant

GOVERNOR of Anambra State, Chief Willie , has commissioned an Ultra-Modern Luxury Mega Centre, about 1.5 million litre gas capacity plant, strategically located between the Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) and Anambra State Women Development Centre on Enugu-Onitsha expressway, Akwa.
The Mega Centre, which is privately-owned by STANEL Group, unveiled new products/services, which include Stanel Tyres, Stanel Engine Oil, Stanel Gas Cylinders, etc.
The governor, who thanked the group for coming back home to put the state on the path of development, therefore, assured them and other investors of enabling business environment in the state throughout his tenure as governor of the state.
Before the commissioning, over 1000 widows were given cash donations and material gifts, while 700 youths have been gainfully employed through the philanthropic gesture of Stanel Group.
Earlier, the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Stanel Group, Mr. Stanley Uzochukwu thanked the governor for the opportunity accorded him to invest in the state.
He intimated the gathering that he had similar investment in Jos, Plateau State and Suleja, Niger State, and was about to start the same project in Benue State, pointing out that Benue State Government had already allocated a place for it. 
According to him, “today, we are also unveiling our high quality products. These products include Stanel Tyres, Stanel Engine Oil, Stanel Gas Cylinders, etc. I, therefore, enjoy Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of patronising made in Nigeria products, because that is the only way we can grow the economy and make Nigeria great”.
Among the high profile dignitaries, who attended the ceremony, were Anambra State Deputy Governor, Dr Nkem Okeke, Senator Andy Uba, Senator Joy Emordi, Senator Obinna Ogba, Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige ably represented by the National Chairman of All Progressives Grant Alliance (APGA), Senator Victor Ike-Oye, as well as former Deputy Governor of the state, Honourable Emeka Sibedi and former Minister of Aviation, Osita Chidoka. 
Others included Chief Executive Officer, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Downstream, Henry Obi, Chairman/CEO of Master Energy, Mr. Uche Oga, Vice-Chancellor, Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, Professor Joseph Ahaneku, former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh, Chief Emeka Etiaba (SAN), as well as traditional rulers and Service Chiefs.
Also Nigerian celebrities, Chief Pete Edochie, Jelous Agu, Chief Chiwetalu Agu, Chioma Chukwuka and Uti Nwachukwu were all on hand to grace the occasion.
