The Special Assistant to the Governor on Political Matters and chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA, in the State, Hon. Ejike Okechukwu has called on political actors in the Central Senatorial District to cooperate with the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in its effort to conduct free, fair and credible Senatorial re-run election in the district, come January thirteen 2018.
Speaking to journalists at Neni in Anaocha Local Government Area, Mr Okechukwu, maintained that since the Independent National Electoral
Commission has announced a date for the election, the people of the District should work towards the conduct of a successful Senatorial election in the Zone.
He regretted that a lot has eluded the District which had been without a representative at the Red Chamber (Senate), since 2015.
Okechukwu who urged stakeholders involved in the election to allow peace to reign for the betterment of the state, stressed the need for
the people of the district to support the APGA candidate in the forthcoming Anambra Central Senatorial re-run election, Chief Victor Umeh, for quality representation.
Contributing on the rerun saga, the Traditional Prime Minister of Aguluzigbo in Anaocha Local Government area, Chief Hyacinth Onwuneme who described Umeh as a true democrat,maintained that if elected a Senator will synergize with Governor Willie Obiano for more robust development in the State.
