The organisers of the Anambra Man of the Year Awards have announced their plans to unveil a Hall of Fame website soon.

This website, according to Comrade Stephen Uchenna Ufoaroh, the former Chairman of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Nnamdi Azikiwe University (Unizik), Awka branch, will serve as a platform for users to access information about past awardees and their significant contributions to society.

The Anambra Man of the Year Awards is a privately driven annual event that recognizes and celebrates individuals from Anambra State who have achieved great success in their respective fields and have had a positive impact on the lives of people in the state. The event covers a wide range of categories including entrepreneurship, philanthropy, governance, arts and entertainment, sports, and more.

Comrade Stephen Ufoaroh who is chairman planning committee of the 3rd edition of the award event stated that the Hall of Fame website will create a comprehensive and interactive database of past awardees, allowing users to learn about their accomplishments, read their biographies, and understand the reasons behind their selection. It will serve as a platform to showcase these exceptional individuals and inspire others to follow in their footsteps.

He said: “We strongly believe that the website when unveiled will play a crucial role in preserving the legacy of past awardees and their contributions to society. It will also serve as a source of inspiration and motivation for future generations, encouraging them to excel in their chosen fields and make a positive impact on society”.

In addition to the Hall of Fame website, Comrade Ufoaroh also stated that the organizers also have plans to launch a book series entitled “Anambra Heroes Book,” which will be distributed in primary and secondary schools across the State.

“The aim of this book is to educate and inspire the younger generation about the remarkable individuals who have made significant contributions to the development and progress of Anambra State.

“The book will feature inspiring stories and biographies of past awardees, highlighting their achievements, struggles, and the positive impact they have made within the state and beyond. By showcasing these role models, the book intends to motivate and encourage young minds to strive for excellence and become agents of positive change,” he noted.

He emphasised that the distribution of the book in primary and secondary schools is a strategic move to ensure that students have access to the stories of these extraordinary individuals who have left a lasting impact on the history of Anambra State.

Furthermore, he maintained that the organizers strongly believe that exposure to such stories will instill in young minds a sense of pride and identity, as they come to appreciate the achievements and contributions of these heroes.
