Anambra 2025: LP chieftain raises concern over alleged aspirant’s links to APGA

There are growing concerns within the Labour Party (LP) in Anambra State over allegations that one of its governorship aspirants who is a political neophyte may have ties to the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

A party chieftain, who spoke on condition of anonymity, claimed that an external influence may be backing the aspirant with the intention of weakening LP’s chances in the upcoming November 8 gubernatorial election.

According to the source, the aspirant’s local government tour is reportedly being supported by APGA.

The source further alleged that the objective could be to secure the LP ticket but then run a less competitive campaign, ultimately benefiting the ruling party in the state.

These concerns have sparked discussions within party circles as the Labour Party prepares for the crucial election.
