Anambra 2025: APC will complete four-year zoning formula – Obidike

As the Anambra State governorship election approaches, the All Progressives Congress (APC) is confident of securing victory.

Party chieftain Hon. Obidike Chukwuebuka has assured that the APC candidate will complete the four-year zoning formula, which favors the Anambra South Senatorial District.

However, the APC has publicly distanced itself from any zoning arrangement. The party’s Publicity Secretary, Valentine Iyke-Oliobi, clarified that APC has never been part of a zoning formula with other political parties in the state.

According to him, the APC provides equal opportunities for all its members to contest for the party’s ticket, regardless of their senatorial district.

Despite this, Obidike’s statement suggests that the APC remains committed to the zoning principle, a long-standing and contentious issue in Anambra politics.

With President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s strong electoral track record and reputation as a master strategist, the APC’s candidate is well-positioned to gain broad support. Tinubu’s ability to mobilize voters has been instrumental in the party’s past successes, strengthening the APC’s prospects in the upcoming election.
