The Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has stepped down the 2017 Democracy Day Rally for projects inspection and commissioning.
The governor in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Taiwo Adeoluwa, congratulated the people of the State for their support and prayers for his administration on the last six years.
He noted that the citizens’ prayers and support had made it possible for the massive turnaround of the fortunes of the State, especially in the area of infrastructural development.
The statement said, “In commemoration of the day and in appreciation of the fact that the state is “work in progress”, the Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, CON, FCA has directed that there will be no rally at the stadium this year, rather the occasion will be marked with inspection tour of some of its projects across the state.
The tour will be rounded off with the commissioning of the MITROS Residences at the GRA, Ibara, Abeokuta.”
