AMAC begins rehabilitation of LEA Bagusa community primary school, Abuja

The Executive Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Hon. Zakka Maikalangu has said that the reconstruction of the LEA primary school Bagusa community in the coming days.

The council chairman made this known during the on-the-spot assessment of the primary school which the chairman is about to construct.

The council boss who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Emeka Orji, who led other aides of the chairman and a team of engineers to the site explained that the project is long overdue adding that the council has concluded plans to follow up the construction of the primary school in faces which he said include temporary construction to enable the pupils to commence their upcoming examination this week and also to build a standard blocks primary school to the community.

He noted that he will also collaborate with the FCT Universal Basic Education Board to actualize the entire architectural design and the Bill of quantities of the building.

Maikalangu assured that his administration will continue to pay more attention to the area of education and other programmes that will make life more meaningful for the citizens of AMAC.

On his part, the village head of Bagusa Community Chief Zakka Iyah thank the quick intervention of the AMAC chairman to the cry of the community.

This is the first time an elected Chairman has come to our aid immediately we cried out, our children will forever be grateful to Maikalangu because he did what other past chairmen could not do for us and we pray to God to guide and keep him.

Also, the supervisory councillor Hon Dantani Zadna said that AMAC engineers are already on the site to ensure that the directive of the chairman is implemented immediately.

Meanwhile, the councilor representing Gwagwa ward Hon, Umar Musa Kaura advised residents of the community to always verify information seen on social media before making statements adding that the chairman is always in touch with his people.

It was gathered that the school trended for the wrong reasons on social media, where pupils of the school were seen stranded under the sun after a rainstorm hit the school.
