Johanah Napoleon, popularly known as “Ms. Jay,” is a wellness expert and the owner of Jay Luxury Spa and Wellness Center in the United States. In a recent interview, she urged healthcare and wellness entrepreneurs to prioritize self-care and ensure they set aside time for much-needed rest and recreation.
During a phone conversation with our reporter, Johanah highlighted a growing concern in the health industry. According to her, the number of healthcare professionals experiencing fatigue and depression has surged over the last few years. She emphasized that while the work of caring for others is a noble and essential service, it often comes at a personal cost if caregivers neglect their own well-being.
“Caring for others is a laudable profession, but care providers also need time to rest, refresh, and rejuvenate so they don’t get fatigued or depressed from filling others without they themselves being filled,” Johanah explained.
Johanah’s message is a timely reminder that self-care is not a luxury but a necessity for those in the wellness field. By encouraging professionals to step back and recharge, she aims to foster a healthier and more sustainable work-life balance for those dedicated to the care of others.
