Alta Paulas, a fashion and event management outfit, during the weekend, in collaboration with Alta Clara and Charles Pius has launched ‘Loud in Lagos’ at Pelican International Hotel, Lekki, Lagos.
The Loud In Lagos is a fashion show organised to identify children and young adults with their cultural assets. According to the organisers of the event, the leading motive of the event is to explore and promote the Nigerian Afrocentric culture in the style and culture of youngsters in Nigeria.
During an interview with Alfred Ade-Ijumakinwa, representative of Mr Paul Pius, founder of Alta Paulas, he bemoaned the rising state of the dressing culture of youngsters. He noted that the event is not just a fashion show to rectify the dress sense of youth in the country but also encourage vocational skills.
“Our major motive is to identify youth with their culture. That is why we implored all the kids here from different schools to be in their native attire for the pageantry. Also, we want to help our young adults get an understanding of vocational skills. Mr Paul, the convener of the event would be sponsoring an award for the best debater; scholarship for 3 students, and also after this event, we would be opening a vocational training outfit.
Also, speaking in corroboration, Barrister Adaeze Godfrey, hinted that the event would be an annual show. Noting that a pertinent drive for the event is to improve moral indecency.
The event which witnessed a handful of students from various schools in Lagos also had the Representative of the Divisional Police Officer of Elemoran Police Station, Onajade Samuel; Mayshua and a long list of artiste who graced the event.
