Serial entrepreneurs and nightlife experts, Abisoye and Oyewumi Oyedokun have expressed confidence in the recent appointment of Brigadier-General Lawal Ja’afar Isa (Rtd) as the Executive Secretary of the National Commission for Almajiri and out-of-school children education.
The duo, while congratulating the new Almajiri Commission boss, said the appointment will sharpen the federal government’s agenda on out-of-school children.
The Oyedokuns, who own the popular Ibiza Lounge in Ibadan, made this known in a statement they signed at the weekend.
They said General Ja’afar Isa is a respected leader and was military administrator of Kaduna State from 1993 to 1996.

The brothers noted that just like Isa created several chiefdoms for the southern Zaria of Kaduna in order to improve peace in the State, the Commission he now heads will breathe anew.
They noted that his achievements while he served at the United Nigerian Development Forum and Bank PHB, precede him, as he picks up a new job.
The Oyedokun brothers said his experience at the UNDF, will be brought to bear in achieving the United Nations agenda on Sustainable Development Goal 4, “to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all”.
The Oyedokuns said, “Your new role as the Executive Secretary of a key commission, is not only a testament to your remarkable leadership qualities and unwavering commitment to public service but also a recognition of your in-depth experience, outstanding achievements, and dedication to the development of our dear nation.”
The hospitality experts also noted that with the former Military Administrator as the commission boss, they were confident that he would undoubtedly play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the government’s agenda on out-of-school children, ensuring the smooth education of the less privileged in the nation, and providing invaluable advice to the President on out of school children.
They also appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his unwavering dedication to the service of the nation.
Equally, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on School Feeding, Dr. Yetunde Adeniji congratulated the retired Brigadier-General, expressing confidence that he will bring his vast experience into his important role.
She said his role will have a significant impact on the school feeding project, while ensuring that the present administration’s drive to guarantee Nigeria’s out-of-school children is realized in the interest of the nation’s future.
