Albino in our family

My brother and the wife who are not albinos surprisingly had a baby who is albino. Kindly let me know how this could have happened.

This is what is known in medical parlance as an Autosomal Recessive Inheritance. This means a child has to get two copies of the gene that causes albinism (1 from each parent) to have the condition. If both parents carry the gene (without necessarily showing the albino colour) there’s a 1 in 4 chance that their child will have albinism and a 1 in 2 chance that their child will be a carrier.
