Governor Dapo Abiodun
Ogun State governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has approved the coronation and presentation of staff of office to the new Alaye Aba of Aba-Aiyepe Ijebu in Odogbolu Local Government Local Government Area of the state, Oba Michael Kolawole Adekoya.
The head of media to the monarch, Deacon Israel Obatugase, in a press statement described the coronation as the first in the history of the community, expressed the people’s gratitude to Governor Abiodun and the Awujale and paramount ruler of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona.
Deacon Obatugase further said that all arrangements for the ascension of Oba Adekoya to the throne of his forebears are ready going by overwhelming support from stakeholders and elders from all quarters of Aba-Aiyepe and other quarters in Aiyepe Ijebu.
The people of the community have been in happy mood since the news was announced.
Royal trumpets and drums have started sounding across the kingdom in readiness for the celebration.
