Alao-Akala promises Lanlate people pipe borne water

In continuation of his two -day campaign tour of Ibarapa zone of Oyo state, the gubernatorial candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP), Otunba Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala on Tuesday paid a visit to the palace of the Onilala of Lanlate, Oba Abdullateef Olawuyi Olagoke, to pay homage and solicit support for his ambition.
At the palace, he asked the people to cast their votes for the ADP, promising that they will not regret giving him a chance. He added further that, “we are not going to be a government that will take the people for granted, we will be a listening government and we will be approachable and open to advise.”
He further promised to provide pipe borne water for them, stating that, “we will provide water for the people of Lanlate. We are not going to dig boreholes for you like some people promised you; we will ensure water runs through the whole town.
“It is unfortunate that subsequent governments did not take the water project beyond where it reached when we were leaving office, a vote for ADP is a vote for good governance and a better life,” Alao-Akala stated.
Oba Olagoke in his response prayed for Alao-Akala and all the candidates of the ADP and added that every contestant must always remember their promises and be committed to the development of the state.
