Al-Makura summons party bigwigs, reaffirms fate to Buhari

NASARAWA State Governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura has summoned the party bigwigs in the State to reaffirm their total support for president Muhammadu Buhari come 2019.

The meeting that took place in the government house Lafia, had in attendance all party’s stakeholders including Senator Abdullahi Adamu, Abubakar Dahiru House of Representative, Minister of State for Environment Usman Jibrin, party chairman Philip Tatari sheko, deputy governor Salias Ali Agara, and APC vice chairman north-central zone, was aimed at brainstorming on how to unite the party supporters in the state against 2019.

In his keynote address, Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura said he called this gathering to brainstorm way forward on how to remain committed to the party and assure president Buhari of their total support come 2019.

The governor who after, appreciated the party bigwigs for answering the urgent call explained that he is proud of the party loyalist for remaining united for the progress of APC in the state.

According to him, “As a matter of facts, Nasarawa State is one of the states that remain united without problem, we are behind Buhari hundred per cent come 2019. When Buhari visited Nasarawa State in February he said Nasarawa was his home.

“We want to assure the president of our total support for his ambition come 2019. I want to caution you to shun rumours and speculation don’t allow anybody to brainstorm you,” he said.

Also speaking during the meeting Senator Abdullahi Adamu who said 2019 is around the corner and politics is getting hot by the day hence, the need for them to summon this gathering to brainstorm way forward.

Senator Adamu who added an adage that “if you want to go to war you must be prepared,” calling on party supporters to work hard for Buhari, come 2019.

He, however, said that they want to tell the world that Nasarawa State is behind president Buhari come 2019.
